The Loom Shed on the Isle of Harris offers one or two people well-appointed accommodation with an open plan sleeping and living space with a separate bathroom right by the side of Loch Maaruig. Although next door to the popular Fisherman’s Hut which has been operating since 2019, the Loom Shed sits in its own fenced-off area with its own parking space. The kitchenette is fitted with a full-sized oven and all the usual facilities; the sitting area is arranged to take advantage of the views right on the doorstep and the double bed is especially comfortable after the day’s activities. It even has unlimited Wifi! The property offers magnificent views of An Clisham, the highest mountain in the Outer Hebrides. Active guests can enjoy the outdoors for kayaking, cycling and walking, the Hebridean Way is on the doorstep.

Situated in North Harris and 9 miles north of Tarbert, the Loom Shed is the perfect base to explore both Harris and Lewis; the southern tip of Harris is 50 minutes away and the Butt of Lewis is a little over an hour.

Rain or shine, from the comfort of the Loom Shed, sit back and relax with a glass of wine and a good book or simply soak up the ever-changing views of Loch Maaruig and the surrounding Harris mountains.
